Dirty Birdie

Another addition to my absurdist exploration of conservative dog whistles such as "The War on Filth." The attempts to outlaw and ostracize views and values that did not align with conservative ideology have long been a way to "other" those that they felt threatened their values. Dirty Birdie is a vibrant, chaotic composition blending street art and pop surrealism. The central focus is a large, yellow rubber duck with mechanical elements and visible wear, surrounded by a tumultuous sea of bubbles and graffiti-style characters. The background bursts with colorful, cartoonish figures and text, creating a dense, layered effect. The artist employs bold lines, bright colors, and a maximalist approach to evoke a whimsical yet unsettling atmosphere, reflecting a world of absurdity and disorder.
