Because It's War (series version)

Version 4 in a series of 10, this piece is part of a gallery series the artist completed with the idea of creating "entry level art for new collectors." Each version varies in the background and the foreground figure while maintaining the same theme from his War Toys series. This artwork features a whimsical, cartoonish elephant painted in shades of blue and purple with exaggerated features, including large eyes and pink inner ears. The elephant wears a green hat and cape, adding a playful, absurdist touch. It appears to be joyfully riding a green bomb, creating a surreal and ironic contrast. The background consists of layered, sepia-toned newspaper clippings, contributing a textured, vintage feel. The composition blends humor with darker themes, reflecting chaos and contradiction through a maximalist, illustrative style.
