This work depicts a love in which the boundary between the self and the other ultimately disappears, through two figures whose bodies and faces gradually merge. The heads touching, the intertwined veins and tongues, the dominant red, the shades of blue, and the white lines graphically embody a physical and emotional fusion in which each seems to lose themselves in the other. By contrasting the still-distinct presence of the two faces with their fusion into a single body, the work captures a love that unites with such intensity that it ultimately consumes the individual.
