This work depicts an experiment exploring the reaction between acrylic paint and water, through an abstract composition built up in successive layers. The still-wet acrylic paint is covered with water, then left to dry before new layers are applied, creating blends, drips, shifts, and accumulations of material that vary with each layer. By allowing water to alter the paint as it dries, the work simply explores the effects produced by this interaction between the material, water, and time.
