No one else could make me sadder

This work depicts the pain caused by an unbalanced relationship through two figures whose expressions reveal an emotional rift. The blue tears, the circular gaze, and the silent cry of the first character, as well as the cold smile, bared teeth, and yellow gaze of the second, graphically embody the contrast between the one who is consumed by their attachment and the one who remains distant from that bond. Yet the red line connecting the two faces maintains their connection, despite the distance between them. By contrasting the suffering of one with the frozen expression of the other, the work captures the imbalance of a relationship in which the same bond can become, for one, a source of attachment, and for the other, a presence that never seems to hold the same significance.
