This work depicts the minimization of suffering and the lack of understanding in the face of expressions of pain, through a central figure frozen in a scream that becomes a symbol of distress that is constantly called into question. The splashes of red paint, the dynamic lines, the colorful drips, and the contrast between the icy blue of the background and the bursts of yellow and green graphically embody erasure, isolation, and the attempt to reduce visible suffering to mere emotional fragility. By contrasting the intensity of the scream with the constant effort to cover it up and make it disappear, the work captures the struggle of an individual seeking recognition for their pain in the face of an indifference that threatens to swallow it whole.
