Mirrors Perception 02 (Framed)

Mirrors Perception 02 is an intimate study of perception, memory, and the fragile evidence of being. At the centre of the work, a flower appears inside a dark rectangular field, not as a simple botanical image, but as something held inside the mind. It feels preserved, distant, almost unreachable, like a memory that still exists but can no longer be entered fully. The surrounding fingerprints and hand marks turn the paper into a record of contact. They suggest touch, searching, pressure, and repetition, as if the body has tried again and again to confirm that the image is real. The work becomes less about looking at a flower and more about the act of trying to recognize something through distortion. The flower becomes a witness to the self. It is soft, but enclosed. Visible, but fading. It carries the tension between beauty and disappearance, tenderness and confinement, presence and residue. The dark frame around it feels like an interior room, a psychological space where memory is kept, studied, protected, and sometimes abandoned. Through graphite, charcoal, and ink, Mirrors Perception 02 reflects how trauma, mental health, and memory can change the way we see ourselves. The mirror does not return a clear image. Instead, it offers fragments, fingerprints, shadows, and the quiet proof that someone was here, reaching toward themselves, trying to remain present before the image disappeared.
