Fallen Mythologies:What if Reality could speak?

This panoramic work is, as I like to think of it, a manuscript, a fragment of reality that unfolds before the eye, somewhere between reverie, fable, and meditation. In my native Cameroon, we are told that everything speaks, that reality speaks. To those who know how to observe, one can hear objects, leaves, conversing. Fallen Mythologues: What if Reality could speak? is part of this reflective continuum in which I draw here a fable about time, in its rawest expression: that is, we who die, we who conjugate, we speak, and above all, we who tell stories and sing. The work thus unfolds on an immense roll of paper that blends several techniques: calligraphic drawing, collage, and even dyeing. The imagery presents a complex landscape dominated by ochre, red, black, and blue tones, with narrative sequences compartmentalized like chapters, yet not quite, carried by a fluid, chaotic, and harmonious movement. Within this movement, one can discern imagery reminiscent of caveman times, wild animals, the dawn of humanity, and the desire for conquest. The choice is yours.
