Sweetness of the Evening

Evening Stillness is the second large canvas I ever painted. It was inspired by a landscape that had touched my heart, discovered in an old issue of National Geographic, where a fisherman stood alone in a river at sunset… In my family, fishing and wilderness camping have always held a special place. With my partner and our children, we spent countless days far from the noise, beside rivers, watching the current, teasing the trout, and soaking up the sun… I painted this scene to find a little of that peace again. The fisherman waits, the light slowly fades across the water, and the world finally seems to speak more softly.
