> Family Reunion is inspired by the Saint-Jovite train station, nestled in the heart of the Laurentians, a place that witnessed an important part of our family's story. It is also where I chose to bring together the people who mean the most to me. Every figure in this painting represents a member of my family. My parents, my children, my brothers and sisters… all gathered together for a single timeless moment, as though the passing years had never pulled us apart. I have always felt there is something uniquely peaceful about the Laurentians. The mountains seem to slow time, the forests draw people closer, and certain places quietly become woven with the memories of those who call them home. More than a train station, this painting tells the story of a family, of shared memories, and of the quiet peace that can only be found in the places we simply call home.
