The Mona Lisa

*La Joconde* transposes Leonardo da Vinci’s iconic work into our era, where we now view art through screens. The dense crowd, turned toward the famous painting, almost makes the painting itself disappear. By focusing on the visitors’ backs and employing a vibrant painterly style, this canvas questions how we experience the museum: are we still contemplating the artwork itself, or merely its image? Straddling the line between collective fascination and visual saturation, it invites us to reflect on the place of art in a culture dominated by spectacle and photography.
