Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Daniel Lévesque’s artistic path traces a vivid line from the neighborhoods of Verdun and LaSalle to the pastoral expanses of Saint-Constant and Saint-Ours, and on to the rugged shores of Pointe-à-la-Frégate in the Gaspé Peninsula. His earliest memories are bound to the irresistible pull of pencil and paper; by the age of four, drawing felt like a natural extension of himself, and at just eight he completed his first oil paintings.
