A Journey of Resilience and Artistic Discovery Judith Ménard, also known as Ju-Dite Men-Art, is a trained social worker and an emerging painter. Art is a relatively new part of her life. It was in the midst of adversity that she began creating and discovered herself as an artist. In July 2020, at the age of 42, Judith was diagnosed with breast cancer. This shock marked the beginning of a period that profoundly upended her sense of stability and her daily life. In the midst of this storm, art became a true refuge and a powerful ally. It helped her get through this first battle by finally giving voice to a creativity that had long been buried deep within her. In May 2025, against all odds, the cancer reemerged in her life. This recurrence once again confronted her with the fragility of life. Even today, art plays an essential role in her journey, offering her a precious sense of balance in the midst of this new storm. These trials have profoundly shaped her journey, but they have also revealed a side of herself she never suspected: the artist. Creating art offers her a safe space where she can express her emotions, reconnect with herself, and draw the strength she needs to move forward. It was through art therapy that Judith discovered her artistic side. She quickly chose acrylic pouring as her primary medium, drawn to the fluidity of the gesture, the richness of the layers, and the freedom this technique offers. Having always been fascinated by abstract art and vibrant colors, she found in this medium a form of expression that deeply resonates with who she is. Her artistic approach is intuitive and rooted in the present moment. Each work emerges from her feelings, her emotions, and what moves her here and now. Creating brings her a deep sense of peace and comfort, especially during the most turbulent times. Her journey demonstrates that even in the midst of the greatest trials, beauty, light, and wonder can emerge.
