Jo Betancourt is a Dominican artist born in 1982. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Santo Domingo, advertising at the Autonomous University, and design at the Altos de Chavón School of Design. His artistic style is based on mixed media, combining paint and spray paint, blending softness with raw energy, and recontextualizing icons of mass culture. Throughout his career, he has participated in international group exhibitions, notably in Moscow, and maintains a private studio in Hato Mayor del Rey; he also teaches drawing and art history....
