“Poetry, Glue, and Paper”

As a self-taught Quebec artist, I have been passionate about collage for over thirty years. Through paper, I seek to translate the poetry within me into imagery. Feminine and sensitive, my creations—crafted from little pieces of my heart—speak of the artist’s solitude and the secret beauty that grounds her. A lover of words, I give them a prominent place in my compositions, where they blend with my symbolic imagery. Each piece is unique and rooted in a photograph I have taken myself. Then comes the process of manipulation: twisting the image to make it my own, tearing it to physically connect with it, and adding prose to give it a voice. If a picture is worth a thousand words, a word speaks of a thousand pictures.
