El diablo is a 48-year-old multi-talented artist who grew up in the Paris suburbs. He began his career as a graffiti artist in the late 1980s with the PCP collective (petits cons de peintres). Later, he published his first pages in the magazine PSIKOPAT (from 1991 to 1995). These short stories about his life and struggles as a young suburbanite later served as the basis for the animated series LASCARS (co-written and co-directed with other eminent members of the PCP collective), followed by the feature film of the same name.
