Chloé Sabourin is a visual artist based in Montreal. She works mainly with acrylic paint, which she uses in a variety of ways, from very fluid layers to thicker textures, as well as with oil sticks and other mixed media. She enjoys experimenting with tools and materials to create works in which various gestures and textures blend smoothly, subtly and harmoniously. Nature is a constant source of inspiration for her. It inspires her by its capacity to change, to adapt, to withdraw when the environment is no longer favorable, and to return as soon as conditions improve. The idea that nature can "fade away" when it's no longer in its place resonates deeply with her, as a metaphor for our own cycles and transformations. Her works emphasize the beauty of stillness, nuance and the small details we often forget to observe. Through her canvases, Chloé seeks to create soothing spaces, where softness, light and simplicity invite us to slow down, reconnect and appreciate the little things. Her universe is a blend of contemplation, visual poetry and authenticity.
