I walk along the paths of art, which I explore with passion
I am an emerging painter who began painting nearly two years ago. Education: Creative Drawing Course, Maison des Arts Rive-Sud, Fall 2025–Winter 2026 Acrylic and mixed media classes at Les Cours du Samedi, Université du Québec à Montréal Exhibitions and events January–February 2026: Exhibition at the Arts Québec gallery in Vieux-Longueuil, with an opening reception on February 22 featuring about twenty paintings February 2026: Exhibition of six paintings at the Pop-Up Fest pop-up shop at the Morphoze studio in Montreal April 2026: Ste-Hyacinthe Galleries Symposium Upcoming symposia: Saint-Simeon, Waterloo, Bromont, Mascouche, and Joliette Since December 2025: sale of 30 paintings, including several special commissions Artistic Approach When I began my artistic practice nearly two years ago, I drew a great deal of inspiration from Australian Aboriginal art. But as I created more paintings, I began to develop my own style and my own touch. I create figurative art featuring flowers, vases, water lily landscapes, and animals such as turtles. My paintings are vibrant, cheerful, and colorful. I’m exploring with curiosity some of the many paths of art: mainly acrylics, but also oil pastels, India ink, and charcoal. In January 2026, I launched my own website: https://cathfrancois.com/ As well as an artist Instagram account: @art.cath30 I’m also registered on the Gallea platform. A single guiding principle drives my brush: the joy of painting and bringing joy to those who will admire my paintings. I feel deeply honored when someone purchases one of my paintings and displays it in their home. It’s incredibly rewarding. I also love discovering, exploring, experimenting, and continuing this process of lifelong learning that comes with standing before a blank canvas, and I’m very motivated to keep exploring this path, to develop and advance my practice, and to connect with art lovers at events, symposia, exhibitions, and other gatherings.
