Painter and illustrator based in Montréal, Canada, Benoît Charra works mainly in acrylic and black ink. His paintings seek to expose the hidden demons in everyday life. Drawing his inspiration from the figurative and commonplace objects, he creates compositions that blur the line between reality and dream. His work has been presented in several group exhibitions mainly in Montréal, including one at La Maison de la Culture de Notre-Dame-de-Grâce where he won the People's Choice Award. Through the play of textures and the luminosity of colours, Charra seeks to provoke introspection. He currently works in his studio at Atelier 3333 in Montréal.
