Ariane Duplessis
Ariane Duplessis, originally from Montreal, Quebec, pursued her studies while competing as a figure skater. Upon entering a Fine Arts program, she left the competitive world of skating to focus fully on her education. She draws on her athletic background to structure and inform her artistic practice. Recognized with honours at the cégep level, she continued to deepen her practice. She completed a BFA in Fine Arts at Concordia, following an exchange at the École supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux and two artist residencies in Cluj and Budapest. Now based in Montreal, she collaborates with galleries in the city while teaching visual arts.
