Whether you are in Troyes or nearby, you can apply directly instead of waiting to be discovered.
Why artists from Troyes join L'Original
A gallery brings credibility, collectors and visibility. L'Original combines a physical presence in Montréal with online reach, so your work meets buyers far beyond Troyes, while keeping a fair share of every sale for the artist.
Troyes & Montréal: the same creative energy
Montréal has become one of the world capitals of street art and contemporary art, so much so it's often called artists' "new New York": a more accessible cost of living than New York or London, a busy scene (murals, festivals, galleries, artist-run centres) and collectors open to new work. Artists in Grand Est and the surrounding area often share that same energy; joining L'Original connects your local practice to this creative hub and its collector network.
How to apply
Prepare 8 to 12 coherent works with photos, dimensions and prices, plus a short artist statement, then submit your application. Our team gets back to you, wherever you are.
Exhibit and sell beyond Troyes
Many artists in Grand Est and the surrounding area struggle to find buyers locally alone. By joining L'Original, your work is shown in our two galleries, at 163 rue Saint-Paul Ouest (Old Montréal) and 4455 rue Saint-Denis (Plateau), and in our online shop, making it visible to collectors everywhere, shipped from Montréal to France. You keep your roots in Troyes while reaching a national market.
Artists from Troyes
Troyes has produced artists like François Girardon, Pierre Mignard and Maurice Marinot, proof of a living scene. Yet getting known beyond the local market stays hard: joining L'Original connects your work to collectors in Montréal and across North America.
Troyes remains a city of sculptors and glassmakers, with a modern art collection gathered by Pierre and Denise Lévy.
