Why artists from Miami join L'Original

A gallery brings credibility, collectors and visibility. L'Original combines a physical presence in Montréal with online reach, so your work meets buyers far beyond Miami, while keeping a fair share of every sale for the artist.

Miami & Montréal: the same creative energy

Montréal has become one of the world capitals of street art and contemporary art, so much so it's often called artists' "new New York": a more accessible cost of living than New York or London, a busy scene (murals, festivals, galleries, artist-run centres) and collectors open to new work. Artists in Florida and the surrounding area often share that same energy; joining L'Original connects your local practice to this creative hub and its collector network.

How to apply

Prepare 8 to 12 coherent works with photos, dimensions and prices, plus a short artist statement, then submit your application. Our team gets back to you, wherever you are.

Exhibit and sell beyond Miami

Many artists in Florida and the surrounding area struggle to find buyers locally alone. By joining L'Original, your work is shown in our two galleries, at 163 rue Saint-Paul Ouest (Old Montréal) and 4455 rue Saint-Denis (Plateau), and in our online shop, making it visible to collectors everywhere, shipped across the United States. You keep your roots in Miami while reaching a national market.

Artists from Miami

Miami has produced artists like Romero Britto, Purvis Young and Hernan Bas, proof of a living scene. Yet getting known beyond the local market stays hard: joining L'Original connects your work to collectors in Montréal and across North America.

Tropical colour, Latin American influences and street art: Miami pulses to the beat of Wynwood.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to live in Montréal to exhibit?

No. We represent artists from everywhere; your work travels to Montréal and is sold in the gallery and online. Artists from Miami are welcome to join.

What share does the artist keep on each sale?

Our model is designed to return a fairer share to the artist than the classic gallery commission (often 40 to 60%). The exact terms are shared with you when you apply.

Do you also sell online for artists in Miami?

Yes, every work is sold in the gallery AND in our online shop (works shipped across the United States), multiplying your reach far beyond Miami.
