Red Earth

This work by Charlotte Gagnon features an abstract composition dominated by a large terracotta-red surface, punctuated by yellow and white circular shapes. Thin, slender lines—evoking stems or flags—rise upward against a light, almost neutral background. The gestural technique and the layering of paint create a rich texture and an atmosphere that is both dynamic and contemplative. The piece as a whole suggests a symbolic landscape, open to the viewer’s interpretation.
