Sunrise Swim (2026)

Sunrise Swim evokes the quiet energy of moving through water at the first light of day. A luminous vertical column of yellow rises through the deep field of blues, suggesting the sun emerging through the horizon—or a swimmer moving between layers of water and light. As the sun emerges, it suggests the rising of possibility with each new day— a reminder that every morning offers a new beginning, a new direction, and the opportunity to move forward. There is an intriguing ambiguity in the work: it can be experienced as a landscape, a body of water, or an entirely abstract space. Sunrise Swim invites the viewer to enter that space— to move through the depths, toward the light, and into the possibilities that each new day brings.
