Some things refuse to disappear. They remain. "Still There" stands out against a white background—neon pink bursting forth, acid yellow cutting through, black imposing itself in dense blocks. A rabbit sticker pasted in the lower left corner, a discreet witness. White paint drips down from the top as if the canvas refuses to be covered. And in the black, almost illegible, almost erased: STILL THERE. Not shouted. Etched. For the one who always comes back, no matter what happens. About this work “Still There” is an original urban abstract painting that plays on the tension between presence and disappearance. The immaculate white background should dominate, neutralize. Instead, it becomes the stage for a chromatic resistance: neon pink asserts itself, acid yellow stands out, and black structures without stifling. The white paint dripping from the top is a key element of the composition. It attempts to cover, smooth over, and neutralize. But the colors resist, persist, and remain visible. This is the heart of the message in this work: what is truly there does not disappear beneath the layers. The rabbit sticker affixed to the lower left corner is a recurring motif in Alexandra Lev Art’s work—a graphic alter ego that observes without judgment. Here, it stands as a testament to persistence, small yet indestructible amid the chaos surrounding it. The purple bleeding onto the edges, the QR code in the bottom right corner, the dotted patterns—all these elements create a visual richness that gradually reveals itself. It is a work that changes with every glance, yet whose central message remains the same: still there. Created in Montreal by Alexandra Lev Art, a one-of-a-kind mixed-media piece on canvas, impossible to reproduce identically.
