Silence de faïence

“Silence de faïence” depicts a seated human figure painted on a kraft paper background. The body, rendered in shades of gray and earth tones, is portrayed with expressive texture and a hunched posture, conveying a sense of vulnerability. Colored threads emerge from the figure’s chest, connected to fragments of text that have been glued in place, adding a tactile and narrative dimension to the work. The word “fragile,” inscribed in the upper left corner, underscores the delicacy of the subject. The piece as a whole exudes an introspective and melancholic atmosphere, blending painting and collage into a unique composition.
