Description
This artwork depicts a mountainous landscape featuring a green metal water tower prominently in the foreground. The mountain dominates the canvas with dark tones and patches of white suggesting snow or light-colored rock formations. The sky is cloudy, painted with shades of blue and gray. Brightly colored shrubs in yellow and orange provide a vivid contrast against the darker background, adding warmth and depth to the scene. Water tower beside Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton, popular hike of Bears Hump is depicted behind tower. The bold green of water tower against the gray/black of side of Bears Hump in the fall following the fires that came up through Montana and severely affected the entire area; smell of burned wood was very evident as I stood making sketches of the scene.
