Portrait of a Caribou

This circular work depicts a caribou painted with great finesse against a light blue background. The artist uses precise strokes and a natural color palette, blending whites, browns, and blacks to capture the texture of the fur and the sturdiness of the antlers. The caribou is depicted in profile, facing a landscape of autumn-hued bushes, creating a calm and contemplative atmosphere. The technique reveals a free and emotional approach, consistent with the artist’s self-taught style.
