Learning to fly (2018)

This painting belongs to “Unspoken Lives”, a portrait series exploring the stories and emotions a face can suggest without words. Expressive brushwork and layered acrylic give each portrait a distinct presence, leaving room for the viewer’s own memories, associations and interpretations. At 18 × 24 inches, the painting creates a compelling focal point, inviting both an immediate connection and closer attention to its painted details. Displayed individually, it brings character to a space; alongside other portraits from the series, it creates a dialogue between faces, expressions and imagined lives. Unspoken Lives invites collectors to build a personal collection over time, choosing works that resonate with them and discovering new connections as the portraits come together. Acrylic on high-quality watercolour paper. Size: 18 × 24 in (45.7 × 61 cm). Frame not included. The standard 18 × 24-inch format makes it easy to find a ready-made frame that suits your space and personal taste.
