Tormented Multiplicity (2018)

Presented here in a striking vertical arrangement, this triptych by Ronald Poirier radiates a flamboyant and hypnotic burst of color. Composed of three square paintings arranged in a row, the work is characterized by a dense texture in which incandescent reds, warm oranges, flashes of yellow, and subtle touches of blue and white intermingle. Each panel features a teeming network of small, expressive forms, symbols, and painterly gestures that seem to vibrate continuously from one panel to the next. The ascending rhythm of this composition lends it a strong architectural and dynamic presence, ideal for adorning a high-ceilinged space while captivating the eye with the richness of its texture.
