Life and death/ vita e morte

This acrylic painting by Kendell Hollier features a bouquet of sunflowers arranged in a beige vase with brown accents, set against a richly textured blue background. The flowers vary in stages of bloom, with some fully open and others partially closed, rendered in vibrant yellows and greens. The background is decorated with swirling, light blue patterns that add a dynamic contrast to the composition. A single sunflower lies on the blue surface beside the vase, enhancing the still life arrangement. The overall mood is lively yet contemplative, showcasing Hollier's expressive brushwork and use of bold color contrasts.
