Free Will

*Free Will* explores the delicate balance between what shapes us and what we choose to become. Two women, two queens, two friends stand face to face. One, dressed in red rose petals, embodies emotion, wounding, and a raw heart. The other, composed of heart-shaped pothos leaves, evokes nature, grounding, and healing. Surrounding them are fragments of memory: the countryside, fields, an imaginary castle, the lines of the hand, as well as references to magic, spiritualism, and the beliefs that shaped the artist’s childhood. Initially conceived as figures of rebellion, the two women ultimately became queens. This shift from defiance to the crown transforms the meaning of the work: it is no longer about fighting against everything, but about reclaiming one’s inner sovereignty. Between fate and choice, light and shadow, wounding and transformation, *Free Will* reminds us that the balance can always shift. But that we remain queens of our own choices.
