The Healer's Ride (2025)

Presented in a slender vertical format, this dynamic work by Ronald Poirier features a rising column of biomorphic and expressionist-inspired forms. Unlike compositions spread across the entire white background, the dense structure here rises from the center in striking contrast, standing out primarily against a deep black background before transitioning to a light base. The vertical intertwining of anthropomorphic figures, stylized faces, and graphic lines infuses the canvas with a strong upward momentum. The mastery of the black-and-white line reveals the artist’s spontaneity and precision, resulting in a work that is at once graphic, bold, and resolutely contemporary.
