Dead End of the Eternals, a Nocturnal Diptych

The work *Impasse des éternels*, a diptych, juxtaposes two nocturnal landscapes centered around a central celestial body: one is white and incandescent, surrounded by red and orange; the other is bright yellow, crisscrossed by a zigzag line that evokes an electric discharge. In the left panel, a field of red poppies occupies the foreground in front of a row of schematic blue houses. On the right, yellow sunflowers replace the poppies, and the houses turn red beneath a denser sky. The saturated color palette, expressive brushwork, and the naive geometry of the houses create a tension between familiarity and unease.
