Fragments of Silence (2025)

Cold wax and oil paint on two juxtaposed panels In this work with Cubist overtones, the female face is constructed through a mosaic of interlocking geometric shapes, like so many fragments of identity. The broken lines and overlapping planes evoke deep introspection, where thought and emotion are reflected in every angle. The gaze, at once gentle and penetrating, contrasts with the rigid structure of the composition, creating a tension between sensitivity and abstraction. The touches of red—discreet yet vibrant—infuse a living presence into a world dominated by cool, earthy tones. The work as a whole suggests an inner quest, a silent dialogue between the self and its many facets.
