Dreams of the Dunes 1

Dreams of the Dunes 1 & 2 evoke a quiet meeting of earth and sky, where expansive golden sand dunes stretch beneath a vast, shifting blue horizon. Layers of ochre, amber, and muted gold suggest sun-warmed dunes shaped by time and movement, while the cool blue above introduces a sense of openness and possibility. Subtle scratches, marks, and variations across the surface give the landscape an imperfect, dreamlike quality-as though the scene is remembered rather than simply observed. The two paintings echo one another while maintaining their own rhythms, creating a sense of movement across an imagined beach landscape. Together, Dreams of the Dunes becomes a meditation on distance, memory, and possibility-a place where the earth feels grounded, the horizon feels endless, and dreams seem just beyond reach.
