This painting by André St-Georges depicts an urban scene in dark, contrasting hues. The red-brick buildings dominate the composition, featuring precise architectural details and sharp shadows. The cloudy sky adds a dramatic atmosphere, while the diffused light partially illuminates the facades, highlighting the texture of the materials. The work reflects a figurative approach with an Impressionist touch, emphasizing how light and shadow transform the scene.
