Upon A Windy Night (2026)

This unique painting by Nicholas Morin was an early piece in his exploration of dramatic and stylized landscapes. His use of vibrant colours and bold outlines is heavily featured in this piece. "Upon A Windy Night" is meant to invoke the feeling of gazing out through one's window as a notable wind storm approaches. The painting features a nighttime scene of expressively curving trees bowing and twisting in a heavy wind. These expressive trees sit upon warping hills that stand collected under a swirling and rapid night sky. A bold, silvery moon acts as a focal point for the viewer as they are visually guided through the movement of the environment. _ Fully finished in a frame. All frames are recycled or repurposed as an element of the art and may show some variation in wear and minor defects.
