Anatomy of Depression

Anatomy of Depression 30" X 30" acrylic on canvas- framed with gold resined frame - $2,700 Two three-dimensional handprints reach through the chaos of life, represented by tangled, restless lines.  Beyond the turmoil, a single white circle shines at the end of the tunnel - a reminder that hope is always there, even when it feels far away. Because depression is a departure from the joy my work usually seeks to evoke, I created this piece over a serene Tuscan street scene.  Though now hidden, that peaceful image remains beneath the surface - a secret catalyst of calm and beauty, intended to quietly counter the darkness of the subject and offer the viewer an underlying sense of hope. The second piece in my Life Happens series.
