All Forked Up

All Forked Up is part of the Life Happens series which explores the quieter and louder negative emotions that surface as life unfolds. In this work, ordinary wooden forks are painted and assembled in deliberate disarray across a wood panel, creating a sense of visual tension and imbalance. The familiar domestic object, typically associated with order, routine, and nourishment, is transformed into a symbol of disruption and overwhelm. The chaotic arrangement reflects moments when life feels scattered, unresolved, and beyond control. The title plays on a common square phrase, using humor to soften discomfort while acknowledging frustration. All forked up invite spheres to recognize chaos, not as failure, but as a shared and inevitable part of the human experience - one that can still be held, examined, and even reformed into meaning.
