This work from the Alebrijes – Textures of the Imagination series explores the dialogue between our inner world and our imagination through abstract forms, free-flowing lines, and vibrant colors. The broad black lines symbolize the invisible paths of our thoughts and emotions, while the textures and organic forms invite each viewer to construct their own interpretation. In my artistic approach, the Alebrijes represent our fears, doubts, and wounds. They are not threatening, but rather part of our story. Color thus becomes a symbol of life, hope, and transformation, reminding us that light can always coexist with our shadows. My work invites the viewer to slow down, to explore the piece without a starting point or an endpoint, and to discover that the imagination is a space where our shadows meet color and where everyone can find their own story.
