The Craig terminus, where almost all tram and bus lines converged to reach the city, was located on Saint-Antoine Street, just west of Saint-Urbain Street and therefore, of Saint-Laurent Boulevard (the Main). This work is the first in a series that explores the importance of the subliminal symbolism of places in relation to the axes dividing the communities of the Island of Montreal. Today, the Craig terminus has been replaced by the Palais des Congrès at the Place D'Armes station, and the major transit hub has been moved east of Saint-Laurent Boulevard, to Berri Métro station, by the French-speaking municipal administration of Jean-Drapeau.
