I have recently drawn this Wedding Portrait, created from one of their wedding photographs. Their photograph captured a beautiful and happy moment from their special day, and I chose to transform this memory into a large-scale, hand-drawn Original Artwork. I am always fascinated by the possibility of transforming a photograph into a unique work of Fine Art created entirely by hand. A wedding photograph captures a particular moment, but while drawing a Portrait, I spend many hours carefully studying every detail, expression and element of the composition. Through this process, I try to preserve not only the physical appearance of the people I draw, but also the emotion and happiness that existed at that particular moment. In this Portrait, I wanted to preserve the natural joy expressed on their faces and the closeness between them. Their embrace became an important element of the composition, expressing the connection, affection and happiness of two people on their Wedding day. I also paid particular attention to the details of their wedding attire, the bouquet of white roses, the bride's hair and the small white flowers she wore. I created this Artwork using professional-quality coloured pencils on Fine Art drawing paper. Every part of the Portrait was drawn entirely by hand, gradually building the forms, colours, light and details through traditional drawing techniques. The original wedding photograph is included in the presentation beside the finished Artwork, allowing the viewer to see the transformation from the original photographic reference into a hand-drawn Portrait. For me, creating a Wedding Portrait is more than simply reproducing a photograph. Each commissioned Portrait is a personal and unique Artwork, created individually from the client's chosen image. The process of drawing allows me to reinterpret a photographic memory through my own artistic work while preserving the people, emotions and important details that make that moment meaningful.
