Alebrije MF-2

Here is one of my Alebrijes, from my series *Alebrijes — Textures of the Imagination*. My Alebrijes symbolize the contrasts of life. The black silhouettes represent our fears, our sorrows, and our shadows. Yet my fantastical creatures are never truly threatening. I deliberately give them a gentle and strange presence, with a slightly eerie yet endearing air. Around them, colors, shapes, and textures take center stage. They evoke joy, beauty, energy, and the strength of life. Because despite our shadows, color will always prevail.
