ADIDIEU: In Brand We Trust

Adidieu transforms an iconic brand into a contemporary religious icon. The figure, draped in blue reminiscent of the Virgin Mary’s traditional tunic and wearing a hood reminiscent of her veil, draws on the visual codes of Marian iconography and transposes them into the world of consumer culture. The reimagined logo thus becomes the symbol of a new form of belief: the faith we place in brands, their image, and what they represent. Blurring the lines between street art, pop art, and sacred iconography, the work ironically questions our relationship to consumerism, a sense of belonging, and new objects of devotion. What if our brands had become our new religions?
