Never Forget Who You Are I created Never Forget Who You Are during a time when I had been reflecting deeply on the person I was becoming. I found myself wondering how many of the choices in my life were truly mine, and how many had simply become habits. We often move through life on autopilot, accepting routines, expectations, and paths that no longer reflect who we are, without taking the time to pause and really listen to ourselves. Lately, I've realized that happiness isn't something we constantly have to search for outside ourselves. It already exists within us, but it often becomes buried beneath responsibilities, obligations, distractions, and the pace of everyday life. It's not that we aren't happy; it's that our most genuine moments of happiness can become hidden beneath everything else demanding our attention. As I created this painting, I wanted to return to what truly matters. The vibrant colours, layered textures, and expressive gestures represent that inner dialogue—the search for the parts of ourselves that quietly wait to be rediscovered. Every layer reflects another step toward reconnecting with what genuinely makes us feel alive. Never Forget Who You Are is an invitation to look beyond habit, reconnect with yourself, and ask what you truly want. It reminds us that our identity is not defined by what we do every day, but by what makes us feel deeply alive. For me, this painting is a reminder that perhaps the most important person we will ever reconnect with is ourselves.
