Awakening

Éveil is a structural work where matter opens itself to light. Mortar, pigments, and black sand anchor the surface in a deep, earthly presence, while gold leaf emerges as a solar force—vibrant and unapologetic. Light is no longer restrained; it asserts itself, piercing and transforming the material. Resin seals this pivotal moment, this passage from shadow to clarity, where the surface resonates with space itself. Ink and acrylic introduce movement and tension, suggesting an energy in expansion. Éveil symbolizes the birth of a new state—a moment of awareness, revelation, and openness.
