Easter Bonus

> Easter Bonus, painted on Easter Day, was born out of immense frustration. For several days, I had been painting this city, light by light. I had spent hours on it. I truly believe it was one of the most beautiful cities I had ever painted at that point. One evening, as I was putting the finishing touches on it, an argument with someone I loved made me completely lose control. I was so angry that I grabbed my brush and almost completely covered the painting with furious strokes. I was convinced I had ruined it. I even wanted to throw it in the trash. I left it alone for a few days. When I finally came back to it, I stopped trying to paint what I had planned and simply followed what I could see emerging. That's when this great bird appeared. Today, it has become one of my favorite characters. Without realizing it, this painting also gave birth to Virigris, a city that now plays an important role in my universe and became the main setting of my music video Lumière noire. I thought I had destroyed a painting. In reality, I was painting the city of Sayrin and Frankie.
