Kepler-10b

Kepler-10b is my masterpiece. My favorite. I created it little by little over the course of eleven months. Every detail was refined until it matched exactly what I saw in my mind. It moved me, it frustrated me, and I feel as though a part of my soul remained trapped within this painting. I first painted it in daylight. Then, one night, I found myself painting it again under a blacklight, using UV-reactive paint. A second version of the artwork emerged. Later, I discovered phosphorescent pigments that continue to glow in complete darkness after the lights are turned off. The first time I saw it shine, I felt like I had rediscovered my inner child. So I painted it a third time. Throughout those eleven months, I dreamed of this planet. I wandered through it. I met its inhabitants long before I ever painted them. Little by little, this artwork became the gateway to an entire universe. The moment I placed the very first character onto Kepler-10b, I fell in love with that world. Since then, I have been creating an entire animated series set in this universe, where many of my other artworks finally find their true place.
