Venus at once sacred and profane,

A symbol, and an icon, Venus watches from above as she floats on wings of sky. She takes the form of a one-eyed, winged creature. Free and powerful, she is also bound by limitations set upon her by herself and others. Suspended above the fray she is there to witness or wilfully ignore what happens beneath her. She could pay rapt attention or ignore with chilly disdain. She is self-absorbed but also empathetic. And like the rest of us, she tries always to be good but she is not.
